IN WHAT REGIONS WILL THE SECOND ALPHA TEST BE AVAILABLE?
This Alpha Test will be available for players in the following regions:
- Hong Kong
- South Korea
- Sri Lanka
- Chinese Taipei
- MENA & Turkey:
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
A lot of players outside of these regions are eager to jump into PUBG: NEW STATE, but it’s important for us to conduct a regional Alpha Test to measure performance, network stability, and key in-development gameplay systems to ensure that we can give you the best gaming experience at launch. By limiting the Alpha Test to these regions, it allows us to gather key data without diverting too many resources away from development.
HOW CAN I APPLY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ALPHA TEST?
Those interested in participating in this PUBG: NEW STATE Alpha Test can apply at newstate.pubg.com/en/alphatest. Please note that this is a closed Alpha Test, so application does not guarantee access. We will be recruiting Android users through Google Play and iOS users through Testflight. Outside of the test, those interested in the game can also pre-register on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store (when available).
WHEN WILL SELECTED TESTERS BE ANNOUNCED?
The testers will be announced on the official website on August 26, 2021 at 04:00 (UTC+0).
An email will also be sent out to all selected participants on that day.
WILL THERE BE MORE ALPHA TESTS IN OTHER REGIONS?
We are currently hyper-focused on the overall development of the game and upcoming Alpha Test in Asia, MENA, and Turkey. If we plan to conduct further tests, we will be sure to announce it on official channels.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM DEVICE SPECS FOR THIS ALPHA TEST?
To ensure an optimal experience for players, this Alpha Test is only available on Android mobile/tablet devices running Android OS 6.0 or higher and have at least 2GB of RAM and iOS devices that are iPhone 6S or later models and running iOS 13.0 or higher. Please note that PUBG: NEW STATE is still in development and will be optimized to run on a number of different Android and iOS devices when it launches later this year.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY ALPHA TEST PARTICPANTS WILL TEST GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS?
As we’ve previously discussed, PUBG: NEW STATE will bring the core PUBG (PC and console) experience to mobile while also introducing features exclusive to this game. Because of that, it’s important that we get “real-life” players to test out those new features during the Alpha Test so that we can ensure we’re maximizing the potential of those new elements.
WHAT SORT OF CONTENT IS AVAILABLE TO PLAY DURING THIS ALPHA TEST?
The game is still in development and the team is hard at work to make sure PUBG: NEW STATE lives up to the standard set by PUBG. The content that will be available in the Alpha Test may not be completely representative with what will be available in the final game when it launches later this year. With that said, Alpha Test participants will be able to drop into the map, Troi, to explore the universe in the year of 2051. Players will also get to battle it out with a variety of weapons and items specially designed for PUBG: NEW STATE.
WILL PLAYERS’ IN-GAME PROGRESS DURING THE ALPHA TEST CARRY OVER TO THE GAME’S FINAL RELEASE LATER THIS YEAR?
No. Player progress will be wiped at the conclusion of the Alpha Test.
CAN I STREAM OR MAKE CONTENT ABOUT THE ALPHA TEST?
